“I know I’m not famous yet, but EVERYONE knows my name and I don’t know why.”
A lot of people know me, I know that, but most of them don’t know what I do or who I really am. Usually I am little skeptical about collaborations with brands, but when Homegrown contacted me, and explained me about this collaboration with Nike Sportswear featuring the #NikeDunkSkyHi , it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.
A little brainstorming and we had decided, we wanted everybody to know the real me. I am not a socialite, nor am I a stylist, I wouldn’t even go the extent of calling myself a Fashion Blogger yet. I am a fashion enthusiast, a student and an over hyper human being.
So Homegrown got me and Tenzing Dakpa together to construct a fashion story featuring the #NikeDunkSkyHi, frame by frame, as the city geared up for fashion week. The idea was to show everybody who I am and what a day is like in my life. Never did I imagine that things I crib about the most, Dakpa would capture them in the most astonishingly brilliant way. His lens captured my day without altering even a little about me.
Here you go
Yes that’s pretty much how a regular day in my life looks like. I’m not glamorous enough, but I wouldn’t swap it for anything else. Fashion to me is not just about dressing up or looking glamorous, dig a little deeper and you’ll find a world that fascinates you. There is extravagance but it can give you a revolution, it has the power to change the society and there’s a lot that goes behind the glamour.
About The Team

{Moving away from Sikkim, his adopted hometown, where he was born and raised by his parents, in 2004 this 28-year-old embarked on a journey of encounters with companionship, dependency and uncertainty of what is next to come. This was the starting point of a thought process that led him into photography. In his personal work he focusses on spaces of comfort. The interiors of rented rooms and temporarily inhabited spaces for him become the receptacles of the dialogues of alienation that are played out in the lives of their residents.The images serve as a testimony for the individuals carving niche for themselves and seeking refuge in the spaces they create. Through photography he hopes to create an inventory of exchanges that allude to an intrinsic need to belong and in retrospect achieve a better understanding of his own fragmented self, a conduit through which he tries to chronicle a part of his world. His current engagements in photography are perhaps a reflection of what Kandinsky wrote about artists who work from ‘an inner necessity.’ He graduated from College of Art, New Delhi in 2009 and currently lives and works in New Delhi, India.}

they cover a wide array of topics ranging from all the broader facets like fashion, art, music and more all the way down the rabbit hole to the grittier sub-cultures that are taking the country by storm.}
I would personally like to thank Varsha & Varun for considering me, and convincing me to do this story. Tenzing & Gauri for not changing me yet capturing the facets of my life in a way that I was left a little mesmerised.
