It’s rarely that a beauty product catches my eye, I am the safest player of all, I’ve stuck to some products for the last 8 years of my life ( I am just twenty-one by the way), but what compels me to buy body-care products are its packaging and fragrance (before getting into the other details).
When a friend introduced me to Kronokare , I couldn’t stop gushing about the packing, it was quirky, fun & super colourful (I always think colour makes it all better), but what was inside was even better, it smelled divine, I had a variety to pick from, the pocket sizes and no they didn’t cost me a bomb.
After using the products for about two months, I decided I wanted to know more about the person behind this brand, and do my first ever beauty post!
I wrote a mail to Kronokare, which resulted in me sipping coffee next to the super stunning Cyril Feuillebois (He’s as charming as it gets, just by the way). This super stunning, yet absolutely humble man is the brain behind Kronokare. When Cyril a management student with expertise in aromatherapy first moved to India, he started the first ever Mobile Spas in the nation named LSA Home Care, a unique idea, where the spa came to your doorstep! So how did Kronokare happen, and he says, it was tough to find products that used simple ingredients, and less of chemicals, he still believes that the best of beauty products can easily be made at home, without much fuss.
Kronokare was born in 2008, a venture between Gitanjali Sahni and Cyril. Their brand philosophy is simple yet strong, caring and kindness are what they offer, and what better than skin care products which offer these qualities.
Cyril explained that it was easy to make absolutely organic products, if they were consumed immediately, but products put on the shelf cannot be wholly organic, what Kronokare instead does is, it avoids chemicals as much as they can. Their products are SLS and paraben free, and their oils are 100% organic. Absolutely no animal testing. Their product ingredients are locally sourced from India and France, and they believe in Fabulousness just as much as Freshness!
Leaving the technical details aside, what attracts one to Kronokare is Cyril’s vision of making the brand, consumer friendly. They’ve an absolutely amazing website, which just doesn’t talk about their products, but while one is browsing, one can listen to the Kronokare radio, which boasts of a damn good playlist, there’s fashion, there’s music!
One look at the man, and you can’t deny he’ll give you the best beauty advice.
Probing Cyril a bit further, I learned Kronokare, an amalgamation of the words Chronos (The Greek God of Time), and Care. It’s literally care for your skin in no time, and why the K? Just for luck!
Cyril believes that the best of the products are made from the simplest of ingredients, and he finds the laboratory the coolest part of his factory! While he says his target customer is between the ages of 18-35yrs, he’s more than happy to cater to one and all, believing in pricing his products not exorbitantly. With plans of diversifying into home care products, there might be Kronokare spa’s in the line too!
Kronokare is now available in retail, at the very favourite Lola’s World in Hauz Khas Village, and a little birdie told me it might be coming soon to Meherchand Market.
